I had the pleasure of shooting Wunmi & Segun’s Wedding over this past summer and I must say it was probably one of my favorite weddings from 2014. I found myself dancing hardcore on the chair and taking selfies all over the place. I still got my job done as always but I had a blast doing it 🙂 So we started the journey when Wunmi got engaged. I remember running into her at an event and she told me Funmi you will be shooting my wedding. We started planning her engagement session and if you never got a chance to view her e-session, click here.
I’ve known Wunmi since 2009 when I started off shooting weddings and I must say she is good loyal friend. Segun is a wonderful guy as well, extremely competitive on the basketball court. I had to cut this post short and try to summarize the entire wedding.

I would like to introduce Ogho and Ify to you. They will be getting married in New York sometime in the fall of 2015.
We decided to meet up in DC for Part 1 of our engagement shoot, it was way too cold to wrap up, so we decided to just pause with one theme till it gets warmer outside
Enjoy some of my favorite images from their e-session in DC
Thanks to Mariam for coming to help out on this e-shoot. Enjoy!!!

Christine contacted me towards the end of last summer while I was away in Germany and the UK working on a few projects. We went back and forth via e-mail about her wedding coming up this May. I remember her sending me these really long e-mails expressing her interest in working together to capture these moments. I found myself excited to see how much she loved my work and how detailed she was. You simply can not replace amazing brides who are very detailed and know exactly what they want. We met the day I got back from my trip and the rest is history.

For their engagement shoot, she wanted a very sweet and simple session with a touch Fall. Knowing this, I felt it was important to understand the couples likes and dislikes and how we could combine her love for Fall in the shoot. I found myself asking a series of questions. During our Q&A session I found out they both enjoy bike riding along a trail in Columbia, MD, which helped determine part of their engagement shoot. I was really amazed with their chemistry and the love they both share for one another. We spent about an hour together for the shoot and I loved all the great images we came up with. This is part 1 of her engagement session, I’ll be sharing part II closer to the Wedding date.

Thank you both for making me a part of your special day, looking forward to your big day.

Here is my first post of 2015!!! Many more to come. Enjoy a few of my favorite images of these two wonderful people.
